It’s that time of year again! March Madness is about to begin and Dash is getting in on the action with a basket ball challenge that kids love.
If you’d like teach important measurement skills while students are having fun with Dash and the launcher, download our free lesson plan: Dash’s Basketball Challenge: Measurement.
In the activity, students investigate the best settings to use with the launcher to accurately make the basket. They practice measuring distances and collecting data before sharing their results with the class!

These worksheets, included in the lesson plan, enable students to plan and record their ball launching experiments.
The lesson plan is part of our Cross-Curriculum Lesson Library, which is included in the Free Tier of our Make Wonder platform. Create a free account to access this and dozens of other lessons!
Need supplies? These ping-pong basketballs are a good match for Dash’s Launcher accessory and the hoops are nice and roomy without being too large.
We’re inspired by teachers around the country who are positing fun and creative ways to get kids coding with basket ball challenges!
